FIRE-RESISTANT PRODUCTS
The Renner Italia fire-resistant coatings are an indispensable instrument for the prevention of fires, with full respect of the Standards that rule the reaction and resistance to fire.
Moreover, Renner fire resistant products have the best level of top coats in the category.
The reaction to fire (Italian Ministerial Decree 06/03/92 - UNI 9796) is the index of the participation of a material to the combustion to which it is exposed. The reaction to fire is expressed with a number that indicates the class it belongs to: from 0 to 5, i.e. from incombustible to easily inflammable.
The resistance to fire (Circular letter of the Italian Home Affairs n. 91/1961) defines the time required until a structural element or barrier for flame propagation looses its features and therefore its capacity to hold back the combustion phenomenon. To indicate the fire-delaying aptitudes, the acronym REI is used, followed by a number equal to the minutes required for the flame to make a product collapse.
The line of products is divided into: water-based fire-resistant products, solvent-based fire-resistant products.
